The cycling program "Da Nang - Copenhagen: a green journey along the Han River" took place from 20-22/6, organized by the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam in collaboration with the Da Nang City People's Committee at APEC Park.
As a Danish enterprise committed to Vietnam for over three decades, Carlsberg Vietnam participated in the event to promote initiatives aimed at fostering greener, healthier, and more livable communities.

Joining representatives from the Embassy of Denmark, local authorities, and cycling enthusiasts, participants collectively spread the message of green transportation and sustainable living. The cycling journey along the Han River was not just a physical activity but also inspired positive living, contributing to environmental and social change.
As part of the program, the "Livable City – Cycling City" exhibition also offered a new perspective on the role of urban planning and green transportation solutions in building more livable cities for residents and future generations.

According to a Carlsberg Vietnam representative, Da Nang plays a crucial role in the company's development journey in Central Vietnam. The enterprise aims to continue contributing to the city's sustainable development through activities that bring long-term value to the community and environment.
"Da Nang is one of Vietnam's most dynamic and livable cities. We are pleased to partner with the city's meaningful initiatives to encourage green living and create positive impacts for the community", Andrew Khan, General Director of Carlsberg Vietnam, shared.
The cycling journey along the Han River is part of Carlsberg Vietnam's ongoing series of community and sustainable development activities called Brewing Tomorrow. This is the Carlsberg Group's sustainability program, focusing on four key areas: reducing carbon emissions, protecting nature, inspiring positive choices, and empowering people.
Previously, over 150 Carlsberg Vietnam leaders, employees, family members, and partners collected over 1,3 tons of waste on the beach in Da Nang, in response to World Environment Day.

The enterprise currently recycles 100% of its packaging waste, uses 100% returnable glass bottles, and recovers all CO₂ generated during the fermentation process for reuse. In early 2026, Carlsberg Vietnam also achieved its Zero Waste to Landfill goal, with all waste recycled, converted into energy, or reused as fertilizer.
In the coming period, the company will operationalize its rooftop solar power project, further reducing emissions and contributing to the Carlsberg Group's net-zero emissions target by 2040. Through the Brewing Tomorrow strategy, Carlsberg Vietnam also implements many community initiatives, contributing to building a green and sustainable future.
