The winning bid was announced at nearly 2,26 billion VND, representing a reduction of over 2,4 billion VND compared to the initial estimated price of 4,67 billion VND. The contractor selection process was conducted through open bidding on the national e-procurement system.
In addition to the demolition task, the winning bidder is responsible for remitting over 11,36 billion VND to the state budget. This amount represents the offset between demolition costs and the value of materials recovered from the site.
During this bidding round, three other contractor consortiums were disqualified for failing to meet capacity or experience requirements, or for submitting invalid bids. These entities included: Hien Quynh Long - Lam Son Consortium, Son Tay - Son Ha NT Consortium, and Chi Lang Stadium Demolition Consortium.
The demolition and asset liquidation represent a concrete step towards implementing a decision issued by the Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee in 5/2025. This decision concerns the handling of structures and architectural elements on the Chi Lang Stadium land.
Chi Lang Stadium spans over 55,000 m2 and is centrally located in Da Nang City, surrounded by four major roads: Le Duan, Chi Lang, Ngo Gia Tu, and Hung Vuong. Once a city sports icon, this prime "golden land" has been abandoned for years due to legal entanglements related to the Pham Cong Danh case and Thien Thanh Group.
Recently, the Da Nang City Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency selected the city's Asset Auction Service Center to auction the land use rights for a high-rise commercial and service complex at the site, with a starting price of over 9,706 billion VND. The auctioned assets include 10 land use right certificates for 14 land plots, which are being processed after the relevant parties failed to reach a mutual agreement.
