Daikin becomes partner for four Southeast Asian football tournaments

Daikin group has become an official partner of ASEAN United FC, a common brand platform that brings together the four largest football tournaments in Southeast Asia.

The Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) announced the partnership on 28/6. The collaboration was facilitated through SportFive, AFF's exclusive commercial partner.

Daikin will support four tournaments: the ASEAN Hyundai Cup, the ASEAN Club Championship Shopee Cup, the ASEAN Women's MSIG Cup, and the ASEAN U-23 Championship.

Established in Osaka, Japan, in 1924, Daikin is a global leader in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). The company operates in many Southeast Asian and Oceanian countries, including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, and Australia.

Through its partnership with ASEAN United FC, Daikin aims to strengthen its brand connection with consumers in the region and promote the development of Southeast Asian football.

Tsutomu Kurihara, Daikin President, stated that football connects people and inspires youth. He noted that the "Breathe the Win" campaign, launched through this partnership, expands the brand message "Perfecting the Air" (ideal air for every space). It aims to foster teamwork, encourage healthy lifestyles, and contribute to community building.

"Through this partnership, we expect to contribute to building a healthier and more connected future for communities across the region," Daikin's leader said.

AFF President Khiev Sameth stated that Daikin's involvement will elevate the region's tournaments.

"Daikin's commitment to creating positive community values aligns with AFF's vision for developing Southeast Asian football, enhancing tournament quality, and spreading the sport's connecting power to millions of fans," he said.

Seamus O'Brien, Chairman and CEO of SportFive Asia, noted that partnering with the region's four premier tournaments will help Daikin expand its consumer reach in one of the world's most dynamic markets, while strengthening its brand position in ASEAN.
