Vietnam's electric motorcycle market is led by major brands. VinFast benefits from its scale, market coverage, and charging station ecosystem. Yadea primarily operates in the popular segment, while Honda adopts a cautious approach. In this competitive landscape, Dat Bike has chosen a differentiated path, focusing on individual users with high demands for operational performance and user experience.
The electric motorcycle manufacturer targets customers accustomed to gasoline motorcycles, who require long travel distances, strong acceleration, durability, and daily practicality. According to the company, this approach enables Dat Bike to solve a key market challenge: electric vehicles are not only eco-friendly but also powerful and convenient enough to replace gasoline motorcycles.

"Successfully raising 22 million USD in our Series B funding round, especially when international capital is cautious about the electric vehicle sector, demonstrates investor confidence in our development strategy. We focus on core value rather than pursuing expansion at any cost," a Dat Bike representative stated. "For consumers, the biggest concerns when switching to electric vehicles remain travel range and battery durability."
Dat Bike addresses these concerns by developing the Quantum S electric motorcycle, which offers a travel range of 285 km on a single full charge. Bui Nguyen Truc Ny, Dat Bike's Sales Director, explained that the company tackles the performance and cost equation by providing electric motorcycles with long range, fast charging, high power, and durability, all while maintaining competitive ownership costs compared to gasoline vehicles.
According to Ny, the Quantum S features a 7,000 W motor, a 6,4 kWh battery, a charging time of approximately 4 hours, and operating costs that are only about 1/10 of a gasoline motorcycle. This exemplifies Dat Bike's philosophy of developing electric vehicles without compromising performance. "A crucial foundation for Dat Bike is its technological self-sufficiency. The company independently designs and produces nearly its entire system, achieving a localization rate of 90%," she added. The battery pack, designed and assembled in Vietnam, helps optimize costs, control quality, and ensures a lifespan of up to 25 years.

Beyond technical specifications, Dat Bike continuously refines the operating experience through hundreds of small improvements to components like the throttle, brakes, battery configuration, and electrical system. This allows the company to optimize performance without sacrificing trunk space or practical utility.
Following the Series B funding round, Dat Bike is accelerating the upgrade of its 3S stores into maintenance service centers and expanding its presence in Hanoi and TP HCM. The company organizes unlimited "free test rides" and regular vehicle experience events, making its products accessible to users.
"With a strategy focused on the high-performance electric vehicle segment and users with genuine needs, Dat Bike is choosing a path of slower growth in scale but deeper value, a differentiated direction in Vietnam's electric motorcycle race," a company representative concluded.
