Since mid-November, fuel prices have undergone 7 adjustment periods, with RON 95-III decreasing by 1,579 dong per liter and diesel by 2,610 dong. This trend has contributed to reducing input fuel costs for consumers. However, from the supply perspective, some major distributors reported that the continuously falling price level made it difficult for them to balance supply and ensure business efficiency.
E10 gasoline, a biofuel blended with 10% ethanol into petrol, will be widely available nationwide from 1/6/2026. E5 RON 92 gasoline will continue to be used until the end of 2030.
According to a Resolution by the National Assembly Standing Committee, in 2026, the environmental protection tax for gasoline (excluding ethanol) will remain at 2,000 dong per liter; diesel, mazut, and lubricants at 1,000 dong per liter. Lubricating grease will be 1,000 dong per kilogram, and kerosene 600 dong per liter. These rates are similar to those applied in 2025.
