Delta Cargo implements iCargo for optimized air operations

Delta Cargo, the cargo division of Delta Air Lines, has launched IBS Software's iCargo product suite to modernize its air logistics software system.

The company transitioned from a nearly 30-year-old technology platform to iCargo, upgrading operations at 252 global cargo stations and improving the experience for over 6,500 users. This iCargo integration is expected to optimize operations, enhance service quality, and improve collaboration across departments. In 2024, Delta Cargo processed over 11 million diverse shipments.

The iCargo platform operates in a cloud environment, enabling global operational teams to access standardized processes, automation, and task management tools, thereby increasing productivity. The system also supports real-time connectivity with partners, seamless shipment data management, reduced errors, shortened processing times, and consolidated multiple systems for cost optimization. The implementation included important modules such as terminal operations, truck dock management, customs and security, and premium shipment handling.
