E10 RON 95-III gasoline prices continue to rise

Effective 3 PM today, domestic gasoline and oil prices have been adjusted for the third consecutive session, reflecting fluctuations in the global energy market.

The Inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance announced that global petroleum markets have shown an upward trend over the past seven days, influenced by the escalating conflict between the US and Iran.

In this adjustment period, regulators have again suspended contributions to the petroleum price stabilization fund and authorized its use. Specifically, the fund will subsidize biofuel gasoline by 500 VND per one liter, diesel by 1,000 VND per one liter, and mazut by 500 VND per one kilogram.

According to the Inter-Ministry's directive, E10 RON 95-III gasoline prices increased by 1,420 VND to 22,850 VND per one liter. E5 RON 92 gasoline also rose by 1,500 VND, reaching 22,380 VND per one liter.

Similarly, diesel and mazut prices increased by 910-1,860 VND per one liter and one kilogram, respectively. Currently, one liter of diesel costs 27,620 VND, and mazut is 16,470 VND per one kilogram.

Recently, many retailers in Hanoi, TP HCM, and other localities have reported fuel shortages, especially for diesel. At times, tanker trucks had to wait 3-4 days to receive supplies, and some stores limited or temporarily suspended sales due to insufficient stock.

According to Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Domestic Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the Middle East conflict has affected the supply acquisition of petroleum wholesalers. Concurrently, increased consumption demand in some localities has intensified supply pressure, forcing wholesalers to adjust sales volumes in the short term.

Despite this, he stated that the nationwide fuel supply remains secure, though localized shortages, particularly for diesel, may occur. He also did not rule out the possibility of businesses selling cautiously while anticipating further price increases.

The fuel price changes are as follows:
