Factors that make Fujifilm the 'best companies to work for in Asia'

An open work environment, diverse culture, and support for employees to reach their full potential helped Fujifilm BI VN earn recognition as one of the "best companies to work for in Asia".

The "HR Asia Awards 2026 - Best Companies to work for in Asia 2026" ceremony took place on 9/7 in TP HCM. The organizers recognized Fujifilm Business Innovation Vietnam (Fujifilm BI VN), part of the Fujifilm group, for achieving high scores: Core (culture foundation, strategy) 4,21 points, Self (employee experience) 4,35 points, and Group (team engagement) 4,45 points.

A company representative expressed delight at the recognition from HR Asia. This award partly fulfills the Fujifilm group's commitment to building a global work environment where each individual has opportunities for comprehensive development and creates sustainable value for society.

In its 13th year, the HR Asia Awards spread the message "People First, Always". The message emphasizes that amid the wave of AI, technology is merely a tool, while people are the core and key driver of long-term development. The organizers noted 618 businesses participated in the assessment.

The event honors companies with excellent work environments and outstanding organizations in categories such as: outstanding diversity, equity, and inclusion (dei) policies, people transformation, sustainable workplace, and tech empowerment.

According to a Fujifilm BI VN representative, continuous innovation and refinement of its product and service portfolio is one of the factors that helped the company earn recognition. The company has been present in Vietnam since 1994. It now provides document management solutions, workflow automation, cloud computing, and printing technology, helping partners quickly adapt to changes in the modern business environment.

The company is also committed to a long-term presence in the Vietnamese market through strategic investments and social activities. Specifically, Fujifilm Manufacturing Hai Phong focuses on producing high-tech products such as laser printers, multifunctional devices, laser scanners, and related accessories, serving both domestic and international markets.

In 2025, the company will further expand its presence with the Software Development Center in TP HCM, marking a new step in its strategy to develop technological capabilities and innovation in Vietnam. The achievements over more than three decades of operation in Vietnam are due to the contributions of many generations of employees.

Alongside investing in technology and innovation, the company focuses on building a work environment based on a set of criteria including: open, fair, clear. This approach ensures employees are always heard and prioritized for individual professional development opportunities.

"We uphold the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and consider them a supportive factor for innovation activities," said General Director Harata Satoshi. A multinational work environment with personnel from Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, and other countries facilitates exchange, cooperation, and development among members.

The leadership also implements welfare policies and empowers employees to maximize their capabilities, proactively innovate, and learn. "We identify this as the foundation for building a strong organization and creating sustainable value for customers, the community, and society," emphasized Harata Satoshi.

Fujifilm Holdings Corporation, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, operates in four areas: healthcare, electronics, business solutions, and imaging, with over 70,000 employees globally. With 90 years of history and a vision to "deliver more smiles to the world", the group integrates its proprietary knowledge base and core technologies into innovative products and services.

In the Vietnamese market, the group has two key companies: Fujifilm BI VN, which provides solutions, services, and equipment supporting digital transformation along with printing solutions; and Fujifilm Vietnam, which is responsible for the healthcare, electronics, and imaging segments.
