This expansion follows the deployment of a larger vessel to replace a smaller one on the route. The new ship is currently on its inaugural voyage from Jebel Ali (UAE) to Novorossiysk, transporting imported cargo.

Two other Fesco container vessels, with a combined capacity exceeding 2,000 TEU, continue to operate on the FIL-W service, providing stable weekly slot availability. This service, launched in 2023, links Novorossiysk with Nhava Sheva and Mundra in India, as well as Jebel Ali (UAE) and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia).
In 2025, the FIL-W service transported over 19,000 TEU, marking a 16% increase year-on-year. Of this volume, exports accounted for approximately 8,000 TEU, while imports surpassed 11,000 TEU.
This added capacity is expected to meet the rising trade demand between Russia, South Asia, and the Middle East, while also enhancing service stability for shippers along this crucial transport corridor.
