Green SM Limo electric taxi launches in India

Green SM launched its electric taxi service using VinFast Limo Green vehicles in India on 5/6, marking the company's 5th market after Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Green SM organized the electric taxi service launch on World Environment Day, 5/6, aiming to popularize green mobility in India. This move highlights the company's commitment to sustainable transport solutions globally.

Initially, Green SM will deploy its Limo service in key areas of the Delhi National Capital Region (Delhi NCR), with a phased expansion plan to meet user demand. The service uses the 7-seater, all-electric VinFast Limo Green vehicle, custom-developed for passenger transport.

Each Green SM vehicle is equipped with amenities for users, including drinking water and wet wipes. For safety, vehicles feature the S2S (Secure to Safe) system, which includes interior and exterior cameras, an artificial intelligence (AI) application, and an emergency assist button for passengers and drivers. Drivers undergo training in electric vehicle operation, traffic safety, and customer service skills to ensure a high-quality experience.

In India, users can book a ride via the Green SM app, contact the call center, or hail a vehicle directly on the street. To celebrate the launch, Green SM offers a 50% discount (up to 250 INR) for app bookings. The company also welcomes 5 strategic partners from the transport, tourism, technology, and service sectors to join the Green Alliance Frontier platform, connecting green businesses with a shared commitment to sustainable development.

Nguyen Van Thanh, Global CEO of GSM, emphasized India's strategic importance, noting its rapid growth in green transportation. "We believe in the potential and are committed to partnering with local stakeholders to provide high-quality, all-electric rides, contributing to expanding safe, reliable, and sustainable mobility options for the public," Thanh stated.

Green SM was established in 2023 in Vietnam and has rapidly expanded its international presence. The company is currently present in markets such as Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India.
