Hai Au aviation appoints 31-year-old woman as chairwoman, linked to masterise

Ms. Bui Ngoc Bich Phuong, a business leader associated with Masterise, has just become the chairwoman of the board of directors of Hai Au Aviation Company.

On 6/3, Hai Au Aviation Joint Stock Company amended its business registration. Accordingly, Ms. Bui Ngoc Bich Phuong, born in 1995, was appointed chairwoman of the board of directors and legal representative at Hai Au Aviation Company, replacing Mr. Tran Trong Minh, born in 1999.

Currently, Ms. Phuong also serves as the general director of Masterise Retail Hanoi One Member Limited Liability Company. This company was established in 8/2025 and is owned by Masterise Hotels Services Limited Liability Company, a business within the Masterise Group ecosystem. Recently, Masterise Retail Hanoi's charter capital was increased from 10 billion VND to 1,160 billion VND.

Hai Au Aviation Joint Stock Company was established in mid-2011 and is part of Thien Minh Group (TMG), where businessman Tran Trong Kien serves as chairman of the board of directors and general director. The company's headquarters are located on Ba Trieu Street, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi.

Hai Au is known as the sole provider of seaplane flight services, primarily operating in Ha Long Bay. The company operates a fleet of Cessna Grand Caravan 208B-EX aircraft. Additionally, Hai Au offers private jet charter services with its Falcon 2000s aircraft. However, the airline recently announced it would cease seaplane operations from 1/4 to expand into other activities.

Previously, Hai Au signed a memorandum of understanding with Asian low-cost aviation giant AirAsia in 2018 to establish a new airline in the Vietnamese domestic market. However, both parties abandoned this plan in Q2/2019.

Masterise has recently made several moves in the aviation sector. Last month, they established Masterise Aviation Infrastructure Company, headquartered in Bac Ninh, with a charter capital exceeding 35,000 billion VND. Two weeks later, the company's capital was further increased to approximately 40,300 billion VND. Additionally, the group's ecosystem includes Masterise Airport Limited Liability Company, with a capital of 29,300 billion VND.

In 12/2025, the National Assembly approved the investment policy for the Gia Binh International Airport project, with a total capital exceeding 196,000 billion VND, divided into two investment phases. Masterise Group was assigned as the investor for this major project.

The project is strategically important for alleviating congestion at Noi Bai Airport and opening up new development opportunities for the eastern and northeastern regions of the Capital. Gia Binh Airport's projected capacity is approximately 30 million passengers and 1,6 million tons of cargo annually by 2030. The airport could increase its capacity to 50 million passengers and 2,5 million tons of cargo by 2050.
