QTM International Port, located in Phu My Ward and part of the Cai Mep - Thi Vai port cluster, spans over 80 hectares with a total investment of nearly 6,900 billion VND.
The port project has a designed capacity of approximately 16 million tons of cargo annually, along with a general warehouse system and logistics area covering nearly 200,000 square meters. This project will be implemented in two phases, from 2026 to 2034. Upon completion, the port will feature 8 berths, capable of accommodating vessels with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) from 60,000 DWT and aiming for up to 100,000 DWT.

Ho Chi Minh City boasts 110 kilometers of coastline, supported by an extensive seaport system. The Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water port cluster, notably, ranks among the world's largest container ports, directly connecting trans-Pacific and European shipping routes.
Maritime and logistics are three key development areas for the marine economy identified by the locality. Hoang Nguyen Dinh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, reported that in the first six months, the volume of goods transported by sea and inland waterways in Ho Chi Minh City increased by 7.3%.
"Following the merger of three localities, the demand for transporting goods and raw materials is substantial. Therefore, the locality must continue investing in developing a synchronous, modern logistics transportation system capable of inter-regional and international connectivity", Dinh stated on 5/7.
At the event, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc highlighted that logistics costs account for 14-16% of GDP. Consequently, developing a modern seaport system is a critical requirement to reduce expenses and enhance the competitiveness of goods.
Furthermore, as the nation's economic growth engine, Ho Chi Minh City is oriented towards robust, multi-sector, modern, and sustainable marine economic development, focusing on logistics and international maritime services. Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc urged accelerated project implementation, aiming to bring phase one into operation within the next 11 months, contributing to Ho Chi Minh City's double-digit growth target.
Ngo Thi Thanh Vy, Deputy General Director of QTM International Port, stated the project aims to establish an integrated ecosystem, synchronously connecting seaports, warehouses, transportation, and value-added services, thereby providing comprehensive logistics solutions.
