How Swedish home elevators are winning over Vietnamese customers

Modern design, advanced technology, and professional after-sales service have helped Cibes Lift, a Swedish elevator brand, gain the favor of many customers.

Founded in 1947 in Gävle, Sweden, Cibes Lift Group is a pioneer in screw-driven elevator development. This type of elevator offers flexible installation, requires no pit or machine room, operates quietly, and saves energy. After nearly 80 years of development, Cibes has a presence in over 70 countries, a direct distribution network in 21 key markets, and has installed over 100,000 elevators worldwide.

Cibes first entered Vietnam in 2015 with a representative office in Hanoi. In its first year, the company installed its first fully imported home elevator in a building on Tran Phu Street, Hanoi. In 2016, Cibes Lift Vietnam Co., Ltd., a wholly foreign-owned subsidiary, was established to directly import, distribute, install, maintain, and supply genuine parts.

Expanding its operations, the company opened its first showroom in Ho Chi Minh City in 2017, allowing customers in the south to experience the products firsthand. By 3/2020, Cibes marked five years of operation in Vietnam with nearly 500 completed projects. In July 2024, a third showroom opened in Da Nang, solidifying the company’s presence in central Vietnam.

To date, over 1,000 imported Cibes elevators have been installed in townhouses, villas, and penthouses across the country. The company's products are commonly found in high-end urban areas like ParkCity, Starlake, Gamuda Gardens, Vinhomes Riverside, Vinhomes Ocean Park, Sala Dai Quang Minh, and Phu My Hung, which attract customers with high standards for quality and aesthetics.

Cibes impresses not only with its minimalist design and modern screw-drive technology but also with its product personalization, quick installation time, ease of use, and regular maintenance policy. The product is suitable for various types of buildings, from downtown townhouses to renovated villas, meeting the needs of families with young children and discerning homeowners alike.

In Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh, Mr. Hai, the owner of a house under construction, said he chose the Voyager V90 Galaxy, prioritizing safety for young children. The elevator has infrared sensors, handles power outages automatically, and requires no pit excavation or intervention in the existing structure.

In Ho Chi Minh City, a villa owner in Thao Dien chose the Cibes Air elevator to match the architecture of their newly renovated home. The glass design and the ability to utilize natural light make the house more spacious and comfortable.
