The Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee recently released for public comment a draft adjustment to the provincial master plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. This draft proposes a priority investment list for the 2026-2030 period, covering various sectors.
The commercial service, tourism, and infrastructure group includes over 20 projects. Many of these are large-scale, ranging from several hundred to over one thousand hectares. The largest project is the Thuy Truong Ecological Tourist Area (1,500 ha) in Dong Thuy Anh commune. This is followed by the Con Den Coastal Ecological Resort (1,150 ha) and the Dong Chau Coastal Town Tourist Area (837 ha).
The province also proposed investing in an exhibition center spanning 15 ha in Thai Binh ward, Pho Hien.
In the technical infrastructure project group, the province stated it will research investing in an international airport in Dong Chau commune after 2030. This project will be implemented according to the Master Plan for the Development of the National Airport System.
The list also includes many urban projects such as the provincial administrative center, expected to be located in Pho Hien ward with an area of 7,5 ha, along with ecological urban areas along the Red River corridor. Pho Hien ward is also proposed as the site for the Hung Yen Provincial Sports Complex.
The draft indicates that adjusting and updating the provincial master plan is a crucial basis for leveraging scale advantages after mergers and forming new growth poles. With the goal of becoming a centrally-governed city by 2030, Hung Yen will develop its urban-rural system following a network, multi-polar, multi-center model, contributing to establishing a new position. The urban chain will be linked to the Red River landscape and heritage routes, connecting with the Capital.
Recently, Hung Yen has continuously attracted major domestic and international real estate investors due to its proximity to Hanoi and its increasingly developed transport and social infrastructure. In addition to existing routes like Expressway 5B and National Highway 5, connectivity between Hung Yen and Hanoi will be more convenient in the coming time thanks to Ring Road 4 and Ngoc Hoi Bridge.
In a report on Hanoi's satellite real estate markets published in mid-year, the real estate listing platform Batdongsan stated that Hung Yen was the second most attractive locality for investors nationwide last year, after Ninh Binh.
