Kieu Hoi Dong A partners to expand services in the US and Canada

Kieu Hoi Dong A and Western Union expand home remittance payout services in the US and Canada, offering faster, more convenient money reception for customers in Vietnam

Kieu Hoi Dong A, a leading remittance payout partner in Vietnam, has expanded its home remittance payout service with Western Union to include the US and Canadian markets. This strategic move, officially launched at the Vikki Bank building in TP HCM on 15/3, builds on the successful rollout of a similar service in Australia in late 2023. The expansion aims to enhance customer experience and address the growing demand for remittances, particularly from these key markets that contribute significantly to funds sent to Vietnam. The service offers convenience for customers, especially the elderly, residents in rural and remote areas, and those who prefer to receive cash foreign currency without traveling to a transaction point.

The home payout service is available nationwide, operating continuously, including weekends and holidays. Customers in major city centers can receive money within three hours. For surrounding areas, payouts are completed within the day. In more distant or remote areas, payout times are flexibly arranged to ensure service safety and quality.

Nguyen Ba Thien, General Director of Kieu Hoi Dong A, highlighted the significance of this expansion. He stated that extending services to the US and Canadian markets marks a new phase in the partnership between the two entities. Western Union customers in these markets now have the option to receive money at home through Kieu Hoi Dong A's payout system. The company anticipates further collaboration with Western Union to develop additional services in the future.

Representing Western Union, Vince Tallent, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific (APAC), also emphasized the expansion as a milestone in the long-standing partnership. Western Union and Kieu Hoi Dong A have collaborated for many years, aiming to provide convenient cross-border financial services to customers in Vietnam. Tallent affirmed that Western Union will continue to work with partners in Vietnam to broaden its service network. The company's goal is to maintain cross-border financial connectivity and meet the money transfer needs of customers across various regions.

Kieu Hoi Dong A operates as a subsidiary of Vikki Bank. The company specializes in remittance payouts within Vietnam, boasting an extensive service network across many localities. Its commitment to service excellence was recognized in 2025 when it received the "Best Remittance Service Providers Vietnam 2025" award from International Finance magazine.

Western Union is a global financial services and money transfer corporation, with operations spanning over 200 countries and territories. Having been present in Vietnam for over 30 years, Western Union provides international money transfer services for the overseas Vietnamese community and their relatives in the country.
