Manulife launches "Evergreen Prosperity" unit-linked insurance product

Manulife introduces Evergreen Prosperity, a unit-linked insurance product designed to combine financial protection, long-term investment, and wealth accumulation, with a premium payment period starting from five years.

According to a company representative, Evergreen Prosperity is designed to meet the demand for wealth accumulation and financial planning for families. The product offers a financial solution, combining life insurance protection with the potential for asset growth through investment.

Evergreen Prosperity has a premium payment period starting from five years. Customers can make regular withdrawals from the 11th year to support financial goals. The product also allows customers to participate in unit-linked funds, leveraging the advantages of investment and the compounding effect.

Another feature of Evergreen Prosperity is the ability to transfer the insurance contract to the next generation. This mechanism supports inheritance and continued wealth accumulation for families across generations. The product is also designed to optimize investment efficiency by minimizing related costs.

According to Manulife Vietnam, these features enable customers to be more proactive in wealth accumulation and management, aiming to build a financial foundation for their families. Evergreen Prosperity launched amid the trend of personal financial management. Many people are becoming more interested in asset allocation. Alongside investment channels like real estate, stocks, or savings deposits, life insurance is gradually recognized as a component in asset portfolios.

In many markets and financial hubs like Hong Kong (China) and Singapore, life insurance has long been used as a tool for wealth management and structuring. Some studies show that customers in these markets typically allocate about 5-20% of their total assets to insurance solutions to balance their investment portfolios.

Experts assess that in Vietnam, this trend is gradually forming as the middle class expands and the demand for financial planning becomes clearer. In this context, many families are beginning to seek solutions that both protect finances and facilitate investment, preparing a foundation for future generations.

Ms. Tina Nguyen, General Director of Manulife Vietnam, stated that with Evergreen Prosperity, the company aims to provide a solution that helps customers be protected from today, while gradually accumulating and building wealth for generations.

A Manulife representative added that the product is suitable given that many families in Vietnam are increasingly focusing on wealth accumulation and financial planning. Solutions combining insurance and investment, such as Evergreen Prosperity, are gaining interest. Currently, Evergreen Prosperity has been rolled out through the agency channel and the VietinBank banking partner channel.
