MM Mega Market Vietnam (MMVN) recently organized a workshop on "food safety and hygiene in canteens" at MM Mega Market Hiep Phu. This event is part of MMVN's ongoing program series aimed at sharing quality management expertise, fostering connections within the supply chain, and introducing comprehensive solutions for school kitchens.
The workshop saw participation from Nguyen Minh Hung, deputy head of the Commercial Management Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade; representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Association; principals and parent associations from over 30 schools, ranging from preschool to secondary levels; and industrial meal providers operating in the city.

During the workshop, MMVN detailed its food safety control process, which is implemented throughout the company's entire supply chain. Beyond simply checking supplier records, MMVN directly supervises from raw material regions, farms, and production facilities that meet standards like VietGAP, all the way through procurement, preliminary processing, cold storage, transportation, and distribution. This ensures the quality and safety of food before it reaches customers.
In addition to controlled fresh food sources, MMVN offers a comprehensive solution for school kitchens. This includes a diverse product catalog, stable pricing policies, and traceability solutions. The company is ready to integrate Blockchain platforms and QR codes to enhance transparency, allowing schools and parents to easily monitor the journey of food from its origin to students' meals.
Within the workshop, representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade also introduced the "Green Tick of Responsibility" program. This initiative, launched by the department, encourages businesses in the supply chain to elevate quality standards, ensure product origin transparency, and expand a safe food ecosystem. As an active participant in the program, MMVN currently collaborates to bring "Green Tick of Responsibility" certified products closer to consumers through its nationwide distribution system.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Minh Hung acknowledged MMVN as one of the most active participants in the "Green Tick of Responsibility" program, working to bring certified products closer to consumers through modern distribution channels. The representative from the Department of Industry and Trade also expressed hope that MMVN will continue to lead in connecting and integrating these safe, transparent food chains deeper into the school environment.
School representatives attending the event also commended MMVN's quality management process. Nguyen Ngoc Suong Mai, head of meal management at the BRIS - KC - Pascal International School System, stated that MM Mega Market's quality control process and cold delivery system provide peace of mind for the school when selecting raw materials for students.
Vo Thi Thanh Chi, an operations specialist at the ROB Education System, echoed this sentiment, expressing optimism that the application of traceability solutions will enhance transparency and build greater trust among parents regarding food safety in schools.
As part of the program, delegates also toured the Food Service Distribution (FSD) Hiep Phu warehouse to learn about the unit's cold chain operation. Guests were shown the rigorous process for receiving, preserving, and transporting food, which helps maintain product quality throughout distribution.
