According to a representative of Viet Artisan Food Joint Stock Company (VAF), snacks such as rice paper, crispy burnt rice, and processed seaweed are popular among consumers. However, most of these products are produced on a small scale, leading to variations in quality and consistency between batches.
The company has adopted an industrial production model, utilizing automation for raw material processing, drying, and packaging stages. This process standardization ensures consistent product quality and reduces reliance on manual operations.

Currently, VAF's factory holds HACCP, ISO 22000, and HALAL certifications. HACCP and ISO 22000 are recognized food safety management systems widely applied in the food processing industry, while HALAL meets requirements for products intended for the Muslim market and certain export markets.
According to VAF, these standards are implemented to control the production process from raw material selection and processing to packaging, ensuring compliance with the requirements of both domestic and international distribution partners.

Beyond production investment, VAF is also diversifying its product portfolio with a variety of flavors. The "Cho Que" instant rice paper snack line offers options such as: garlic salt, Thai hotpot, cheese, seaweed, fried shallots, garlic butter, and salted egg. These products are packaged for immediate consumption, catering to the demand for convenient snacking.
The company states that standardized recipes ensure consistency across production batches while preserving the characteristics of traditional snacks.
Concurrent with product development, VAF has introduced its products into the Co.opmart system and numerous supermarket and convenience store chains nationwide. According to the company, meeting standards for documentation, traceability, and food safety is essential for products to be distributed in modern retail systems.
Looking ahead, a company representative announced continued investment in production technology, refinement of the quality management system, and market expansion. VAF aims to develop modern snack products with traditional flavors, meeting the demands of both domestic consumers and export markets.
