Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed the decision to appoint Le Manh Hung as acting Minister of Industry and Trade on 20/12, with the appointment taking effect the same day.
Born in 1973, Le Manh Hung currently serves as the Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN).

He previously held several positions in the oil and gas sector, including deputy general director of PVN, chairman of PetroVietnam Drilling Mud and Chemicals Corporation, and general director of Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Company.
Prior to this appointment, Nguyen Hong Dien served as the Minister of Industry and Trade. The Ministry also has 4 deputy ministers: Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, Phan Thi Thang, Truong Thanh Hoai, and Nguyen Hoang Long.
According to regulations, the prime minister proposes ministerial appointments, which are then approved by the National Assembly. However, when the National Assembly is not in session, the prime minister can issue a decision to appoint an acting minister to temporarily assume the position.
