Sacombank began operating under the new model from 22/1. Following the reorganization, the apparatus is structured vertically with 9 operational divisions. The bank also adjusted its personnel structure between the front office and back office to a ratio of approximately 80-20.
According to a bank representative, this change helps Sacombank focus more resources on business activities. The direct sales force is strengthened, enhancing customer outreach and service. The new structure also supports more efficient resource allocation and cost control. Additionally, optimizing support departments contributes to promoting the digitalization of operational processes, improving labor productivity, and strengthening internal governance.

At the network level, Sacombank also adjusted its management model. The regional office system was reorganized into regions. Branches and transaction offices are arranged to increase autonomy in their operating areas. This adjustment helps reduce intermediate layers and improves coordination efficiency across the entire system.
According to the bank's assessment, these organizational and operational changes aim for a more flexible operating model. The rational use of resources is also expected to help Sacombank enhance its competitiveness amidst a rapidly changing financial and banking market. This also forms the basis for the bank to continue addressing outstanding issues and move towards completing its restructuring plan in the near future.

At the event, Ha Van Trung, Permanent Deputy General Director of Sacombank, stated that streamlining the apparatus and organizing vertically are crucial foundations to promptly complete the restructuring plan, reduce bad debt, improve net interest margin (NIM), ensure operational safety indicators, and enhance provision coverage. According to Trung, with a streamlined apparatus, clear coordination mechanisms, and rational resource allocation, the bank will be better positioned to leverage its internal strengths, meet risk management requirements, and achieve safe, efficient, and sustainable development, thereby maximizing value for customers, partners, shareholders, and the community.
The streamlining of the apparatus occurs as Sacombank implements several changes to refresh its brand image. Previously, the bank unveiled a new brand identity with a more youthful and modern orientation, and introduced its brand ambassador, footballer Nguyen Dinh Bac.
According to the bank, these organizational and brand adjustments reflect the ongoing innovation process. These changes aim to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen the governance foundation, and gradually improve Sacombank's position within Vietnam's commercial joint-stock banking system.
