SCG, a Thai construction industry giant, reported that its total revenue in Vietnam for 2025 increased by 0,8% compared to 2024. This market's revenue represented over 11% of SCG's total revenue last year, amounting to USD 15,1 billion.
Compared to 2024, the group's revenue across all markets decreased by 3%, but its EBITDA profit increased by 6%, reaching USD 1,7 billion. Thammasak Sethaudom, CEO of SCG, noted that 2025 presented many challenges, including slowing global growth, geopolitical instability, and fluctuating energy prices, which particularly impacted the petrochemical sector.
However, Vietnam was a bright spot and is considered a 'growth hub'. "Amid challenges in many markets, Vietnam continues to show positive growth signals," stated Thammasak Sethaudom, CEO of SCG.

According to Thammasak Sethaudom, Vietnam not only has a developing domestic market but also serves as a strategic operational center to serve regional and global customers. With the Long Son Petrochemicals (LSP) Complex, valued at USD 5 billion, restarting operations from August 2025, he expects the industry to gradually stabilize.
The Thai giant has identified four strategic priorities for Vietnam this year. Among these, the group aims to capture the potential driven by Vietnam's double-digit GDP growth target. A key focus is the LSP Renovation Project, valued at USD 500 million, expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
Additionally, SCG plans to promote synergy between its operations in Thailand and Vietnam, such as leveraging the common market. Concurrently, the company continues to prioritize human resource development and increase the application of digital tools, robotics, and artificial intelligence to enhance productivity.
SCG has been operating since 1992 and currently has 28 member companies in construction materials, smart living (smart housing solutions), chemicals, packaging, and logistics. In 2025, they contributed over USD 31,5 million to the state budget.
