VIB launches VIB Business payment card for enterprises

The VIB Business payment card integrates expense management, international payment utilities, and cash flow control for business operations.

The card is designed for the operational and growth needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), business owners, and financial management teams. It functions as both a payment method and a financial solution, enabling Vietnamese businesses to operate professionally and save costs. VIB aims to support businesses as the business environment increasingly standardizes tax and cash flow management.

Businesses frequently conduct international payments for activities like software purchases, raw material imports, foreign supplier payments, global platform advertising, or booking business travel. These transactions typically incur foreign currency conversion fees of 1,5% to 3,5% per payment. While individual transaction fees may seem small, they can accumulate significantly with many international transactions.

To address this, the VIB Business payment card offers a 0% foreign currency conversion fee policy when businesses reach specified spending thresholds. This is automatically applied based on the total card spending in the previous month and covers all primary and supplementary cards without additional registration. For international spending of VND 90 million or more monthly, this 0% fee can save businesses millions to tens of millions of Vietnamese dong annually.

Beyond cost optimization, the VIB Business payment card also includes airport lounge privileges and fast track services. For every VND 30 million in international spending, cardholders receive one lounge or fast track access. Redemptions are unlimited, and spending conditions are calculated per card.

According to VIB, the card's benefits are practical for business owners and managers who frequently travel for work and meet partners. Convenient travel and time savings at the airport enhance work efficiency, contributing to a professional image.

The bank also noted a common challenge for small and medium-sized enterprises: the overlap between personal and business cash flows. This complicates accounting, tax reporting, and budget control, increasing error potential. The VIB Business card resolves this with a separate business payment account, ensuring all transactions are clearly recorded, cash flows are distinct, and there are no hidden fees, simplifying accounting and year-end tax reporting. This management method aligns with new payment account regulations effective from 1/3. Businesses can use the card to manage expenses and standardize cash flow in their operations.

Businesses can issue an unlimited number of supplementary cards, actively setting monthly and per-spending category limits on the VIB Business application. With diverse categories like: restaurants, supermarkets, utilities, taxes, software, applications, and advertising, customers can proactively control budgets, mitigate overspending risks, and optimize costs.

VIB also offers a 100% first-year annual fee waiver. From the second year, businesses continue to receive a fee waiver if their total spending in the previous 12 months reaches VND 50 million (calculated per card), ensuring proactive and transparent financial cost control.

A VIB representative stated that with increasingly stringent revenue and expense transparency requirements, particularly for business households and SMEs, a financial tool offering real-time expense management, clear budget separation, and limited incurred costs provides a significant competitive advantage. The VIB Business payment card is developed as a streamlined payment infrastructure for businesses: it supports cash flow control, optimizes costs, and delivers premium experience privileges.

With the launch of the VIB Business payment card, VIB expands its ecosystem of financial solutions for businesses and business households. The bank aims to support the Vietnamese business community in operating professionally, achieving genuine cost savings, and preparing for breakthrough growth in the new phase.
