The award comes as VIB develops its privilege banking model based on three pillars: Dynamic, Unique, and Exclusive. Instead of focusing primarily on the quantity of offers, the bank integrates flexible cash flow management, personalized services, and unique experiences for customers within the same ecosystem.
According to Ms. Tuong Nguyen, VIB's deputy chief executive officer, the starting point for VIB Privilege Banking was not 'what additional privileges can we offer customers?' but rather 'how can a privilege bank differentiate itself to truly align with how customers live, manage their assets, and seize opportunities?' From this approach, the bank built three pillars corresponding to the needs of its privilege customers. In the dynamic segment, VIB Privilege Banking connects various financial needs. For daily spending, the priority signature and premier signature debit cards provide access to over 1,400 airport lounges globally, up to 5% cashback, and preferential foreign transaction fees.

Specifically for premier tier customers, the bank also offers the VIB One Card signature credit card with an annual fee waiver, providing up to 9% cashback for shopping, travel, education, insurance, and international spending. When global money transfer needs arise, from tuition fees and family remittances to overseas investment opportunities, customers receive free international transfers both in-branch and online, along with exchange rate benefits of up to 150 dong.
Simultaneously, VIB Privilege Banking customers' idle cash flow can continue to generate daily profits of up to 8% per annum with the super yield account. When capital is needed, VIB Privilege Banking customers can access credit limits of up to 500 billion dong, with grace periods and repayment methods designed according to actual cash flow. For term deposits, customers enjoy an additional up to 1% annual interest rate, along with numerous benefits throughout their relationship with the bank.
While dynamic focuses on how cash flow is managed, unique addresses how the bank identifies individual customer needs. Customers with similar asset sizes may still have different investment goals, capital utilization periods, risk appetites, and spending habits. VIB incorporates these differences into its service design process, rather than applying a uniform solution structure across the entire segment.
One tool supporting this approach is Ownrora, a dedicated space for Privilege Banking customers on MyVIB. The platform uses AI to analyze short, medium, and long-term cash flow needs, combined with investment preferences, to guide asset allocation. Personalization capabilities are also applied to more specific needs, such as suggesting cards based on spending behavior or choosing account numbers.
In addition to Ownrora, ViePro GenAI functions as a financial assistant on MyVIB. Customers can ask questions using natural language and receive information relevant to their financial context. However, VIB has not designed its service model to have technology entirely replace direct interaction. Each Privilege Banking customer still has a dedicated privilege relationship manager to provide advice and connect them with solutions tailored to their needs, goals, and financial stages.
This organizational structure creates two complementary service layers. Technology provides customers with fast, continuous, and convenient support, while the team of privilege relationship managers offers deep understanding, expert advice, and personalized guidance for each individual. These elements also represent how VIB actualizes the unique spirit: even within the same privilege segment, each customer is recognized as an individual.
When VIB Privilege Banking launched on 10/4, the bank utilized an interactive light art space inspired by the aurora borealis. Subsequently, the aurora became a recurring motif due to its characteristics aligning with Dynamic, Unique, and Exclusive: constantly moving, never repeating a moment, and not for the masses.
This spirit was transformed into tangible gifts that customers could truly own, such as the Aurora gift set featuring a unique watercolor silk scarf and a limited-edition gold-plated metal signature card. During the launch campaign, the "touch the aurora light" program also offered an aurora hunting trip in Northern Europe for VIB Privilege Banking customers. Each detail was designed not only for its material value but also to tell a story: every customer's journey is unique.
This spirit continues to expand from rare experiences to in-depth ones. Last August, VIB Privilege Banking launched The Privilege Art Experience, with its inaugural event, "the collector", a series of art experiences regularly held for privilege customers interested in art.
Exclusive is not solely expressed through material benefits. VIB provides customers access to events, spaces, and content tailored for a specific group, while also creating networking opportunities among individuals with shared interests.

Initial results show the model has driven changes in the engagement levels of the privilege customer segment. CASA (current account savings account) for this segment at VIB increased by 111%. The VIB Privilege Banking launch campaign recorded 260 million impressions, reached 85% of the target customer group, and boosted brand search volume by 13 times.
Ms. Tuong Nguyen stated that VIB Privilege Banking's direction is that 'privilege banking does not stop at privileges, but empowers customers to be proactive in all movements.' The 'most innovative privilege banking - Vietnam 2026' award from GBO recognizes VIB Privilege Banking's development of a privilege banking model that integrates finance, technology, and experience. Instead of placing individual products or offers in separate layers, VIB is incorporating these elements into a unified service structure, with each customer's needs as the connecting point.
