Vietbank is set to offer more than 296 million shares to its existing shareholders. This information was detailed in a resolution concerning the final shareholder list for the public offering. The bank had previously obtained a certificate of registration for the additional share offering from the State Securities Commission.
Under the plan, Vietbank will issue over 296 million shares to existing shareholders at a price of 10,000 dong per share, based on a 100:25 ratio. This means shareholders holding 100 shares on the record date will be entitled to purchase an additional 25 new shares.
The record date for shareholder eligibility is 10/11. Shareholders will be able to transfer their purchase rights from 20/11 to 11/12. The subscription and payment period for the shares will run from 20/11 to 16/12.
If the offering is fully subscribed, Vietbank expects to raise approximately 2,960 billion dong. This would increase the bank's charter capital from 11,846 billion dong to over 14,807 billion dong. The bank intends to use the capital raised to supplement business funds, meet credit demand, and support its growth plans for 2026 and subsequent years.

This planned issuance follows Vietbank's recent completion of a bonus share issuance of over 107.7 million shares to shareholders at a 10% ratio, which previously raised its charter capital to 11,846 billion dong. In addition to the offering for existing shareholders, Vietbank also plans to issue over 74 million shares through an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), representing 5% of the outstanding shares after the capital increase. With an issuance price of 10,000 dong per share, the bank anticipates raising an additional 740 billion dong. If all these plans are successfully implemented, the total charter capital is projected to reach approximately 15,548 billion dong.
Vietbank's capital increase initiative comes as the bank reports strong business growth in the first nine months of this year. According to preliminary data from its separate financial statements, the bank's pre-tax profit reached 1,297 billion dong, a 50% increase compared to 865 billion dong during the same period last year, reflecting an additional 432 billion dong.
This positive outcome is attributed to growth in net interest income and contributions from non-interest activities. Net interest income, in particular, rose to 2,470 billion dong, marking a 12% increase, or an additional 257 billion dong, compared to the same period.
Across other business segments, Vietbank recorded a net profit of 129 billion dong from service activities, up 7%; foreign exchange trading generated 99 billion dong, a 30% increase. Profit from investment securities reached 79 billion dong, approximately 3.7 times higher than the same period last year, while other operations contributed 181 billion dong.
Alongside its profit performance, the bank's asset and credit scale continued to expand. As of 30/9, Vietbank's total assets stood at 213,140 billion dong, an 8.2% increase since the beginning of the year. Customer loans reached 120,196 billion dong, growing by 10.8%.
On the funding side, customer deposits totaled 110,312 billion dong, an 8.5% increase, or an additional 8,666 billion dong. The value of issued valuable papers reached 28,894 billion dong, up 22.2% from the start of the year, further supplementing capital for business operations.
