Vincom Retail replaces chairman of the board of directors

Vincom Retail, owner of the Vincom shopping mall chain, has appointed Tran Le Phuong as chairman of its board of directors.

Vincom Retail Joint Stock Company has announced changes to several leadership positions on its board of directors (BOD) and executive leadership.

On 27/8, the company's board of directors resolved to appoint Tran Le Phuong as chairman of Vincom Retail, replacing Tran Mai Hoa. Phuong had joined the board of directors of the Vincom shopping mall chain on 22/7.

Born in 1969, Phuong holds a master’s degree in economic management. He also serves as chairman of the board of directors of Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center Joint Stock Company (VEFAC) and several other businesses.

Following her departure as chairman, Tran Mai Hoa took over as chief executive officer of Vincom Retail, replacing Pham Thi Thu Hien. Concurrently, Hoa will also serve as the company’s deputy chief executive officer of operations.

Hoa has been with Vincom Retail since 2014, progressing through roles including project management director at Vincom Mega Mall Times City and Royal City, before becoming deputy chief executive officer and then chief executive officer at the Vingroup-affiliated company.

Pham Thi Thu Hien will become deputy chief executive officer of sales and marketing. Hien previously held this position at Vincom Retail.

In 2026, Vincom Retail projects consolidated net revenue of 10,132 billion VND and after-tax profit of 5,375 billion VND, up 16% and 15% respectively from 2025, after excluding non-recurring income.

The company aims to become Asia's leading retail real estate developer and manager. Currently, VRE owns, manages, and operates over 90 shopping malls totaling over 1,91 million square meters of retail floor area.

The Vingroup-affiliated company plans further expansion to 110 shopping malls, with approximately 3,5 million square meters of floor space. Additionally, Vincom Retail plans to develop 75 new commercial townhouses.
