VNPT partners with Rubber Group to develop digital technology industrial park

VNPT and Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) will research and develop a "green, smart, and modern" industrial park model, expanding comprehensive digital transformation cooperation.

The cooperation signing ceremony took place on 4/8 in Hanoi. Leaders of the two groups aim to build a sustainable cooperation ecosystem, centering on science, technology, and innovation, while adopting international ESG and OECD governance standards.

During the 2026-2030 period, both parties will focus on developing telecommunications and digital infrastructure and planning smart functional zones. This model prioritizes green management platforms, establishing data centers, an information security ecosystem, and attracting investment based on high-quality technology human resources.

Under the agreement, VRG facilitates VNPT's participation in consulting and providing digital infrastructure solutions for both existing industrial parks and new projects. Additionally, the two parties will collaborate on implementing clean energy solutions, optimizing resources for production and high-tech agriculture. This cooperation enables businesses operating within the industrial park to access a modern and sustainable service ecosystem.

Also during this cooperation phase, the two groups will expand on digital transformation achievements from the previous phase. Previously, VNPT successfully implemented a business intelligence (BI) reporting system, a plantation management system (GIS.VRG), cloud computing, and e-office solutions for VRG. In the coming years, both parties will upgrade existing platforms and promote AI integration into governance and operations. The GIS system will be finalized across the entire group to serve business production and agricultural management more effectively.

Beyond technology, VNPT and VRG will strengthen cooperation in research and development (R&D) and technology transfer. Both parties prioritize utilizing each other's product and service ecosystems to optimize internal resources. Notably, VNPT commits to accompanying VRG in expanding digital transformation activities in international markets such as Laos and Cambodia, where the Rubber Group has major projects.

Mr. Tran Cong Kha, Chairman of VRG's Board of Directors, stated that the achievements over the past 7 years form a foundation for the two groups to establish new governance models. He expressed confidence that the cooperation program would soon materialize into practical projects, creating new value for the businesses.

Mr. To Dung Thai, Chairman of VNPT's Member Council, affirmed that the cooperation extends beyond technical solutions, aiming to build an exemplary linkage model among state-owned enterprises in the digital era.

Leveraging VRG's infrastructure potential and land reserves combined with VNPT's technological capabilities, the 2026-2030 cooperation program is expected to drive both digital and green transformation.
