VPBank launches exclusive gamer card with T1 signatures

VPBank introduces limited edition GameON Mastercard credit card for the gaming community, featuring the signatures of 5 members of the T1 eSports team.

The product was introduced at the "VPBank presents eSport Festival: Legends Unite" event, held on 20-21/12 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center in Hanoi. The event featured T1, the eSports team that has won 6 world championships, along with player Faker, attracting interest from the domestic gaming community.

The VPBank GameON Mastercard credit card targets young customers from Gen Z and Millennials. Its gaming-inspired design features a black background, 3D 'GAME ON' text effects, and neon color strips, drawing inspiration from video games. The integration of T1 team signatures gives this card a personal touch, reflecting the owner's personality and creating a connection between the financial product and eSports culture, a rapidly growing field in Vietnam.

Regarding features, the VPBank GameON Mastercard is designed to support popular digital entertainment transactions for the gaming community. This includes in-game purchases, content acquisition on Google Play, Apple Store, and Steam, and payments for online services like Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube Premium.

Additionally, the card integrates a reward ecosystem centered around gamers' spending habits. Cardholders earn up to 10% loyalty points when topping up games, purchasing in-game entertainment packages, online movie tickets, online concert tickets, and paying membership fees for online platforms such as Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube Premium. Furthermore, purchases of accessories at electronics stores, including gaming gear and technology devices, also earn points, with a maximum accumulation of 800.000 VND.

Moreover, cardholders earn up to 5% loyalty points for dining transactions and contactless payments via Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay. All accumulated points are redeemable for in-game top-up vouchers, gifts, and thousands of other direct discount vouchers on the LynkiD app. Customers who open a card early will immediately receive 400.000 loyalty points from VPBank.

The bank stated it is researching collaborations with many major partners in the gaming and entertainment industries. This initiative aims to expand the reward ecosystem for gamers, encompassing everything from community tournaments to eSports events.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chi Hien, Deputy Director of VPBank's Retail Banking Division, stated that the launch of the GameON card is part of a strategy to diversify card products. This strategy focuses on developing offerings for specific customer segments, with young customers as a key focus.

"VPBank does not just provide a card; we aim to build a modern financial ecosystem where every transaction empowers customers' passions and their journey to conquer new heights," Mr. Hien shared.
