Hanoi's 10th-grade entrance exam is taking place on 30-31/5, involving over 124,000 candidates. This number represents the highest participation nationwide and a record high for the city. The overall pass rate is approximately 66%.
This morning, candidates completed the literature exam. Tomorrow, they will sit for the final subject, mathematics. While the foreign language exam (primarily English) has a 60-minute duration, the literature and mathematics exams are each 120 minutes. Students applying for specialized classes, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, English, French, Russian, Chinese, German, Japanese, and Korean, will take additional exams on 1/6.
Admission scores for non-specialized schools are calculated as the sum of three subjects, without any coefficient multiplication. For specialized schools, the admission score is the sum of four subjects, with the specialized subject score multiplied by two.
Exam results and cut-off scores for public 10th grade in Hanoi are anticipated to be announced between 19 and 22/6. For reference, the 10th-grade cut-off scores for 115 public schools in Hanoi in 2025 are also available.
