On 12/3, the Academy of Finance announced it would admit 6,120 students using several methods: direct admission, combined admission, and national high school graduation exam scores.
For admission based on national high school graduation exam scores, the academy utilizes 6 combinations: A00 (math, physics, chemistry), A01 (math, physics, English), D01 (math, literature, English), D07 (math, chemistry, English), X06 (math, physics, informatics), and X26 (math, informatics, English). Compared to last year, the academy added two combinations that include informatics.
For combined admission, the Academy of Finance considers candidates with good academic performance throughout their three years of high school. If a candidate also possesses international certificates such as an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent TOEFL iBT, SAT 1050/1600, ACT 22/36, or a third prize or higher at the provincial level, they will be grouped separately for these achievements to be factored into their scores.
Depending on the candidate's achievements, the academy applies different admission score calculation methods. These may involve combining high school academic transcript scores with converted scores from international certificates or excellent student awards, or combining high school academic transcript scores with national high school graduation exam scores.
Specifically, candidates with IELTS and other international certificates, as well as excellent student awards, will have their scores converted to a 10-point scale as follows:
