Hanoi National University announced on 15/6 that the University of Technology has the highest enrollment target with 4,020 students, up by 120. Following closely is the University of Economics with 3,000 students, an increase of 500.
Three other schools are targeting over 2,000 students: the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Natural Sciences, and the University of Foreign Languages. In contrast, some schools have targets of just over 700 students, such as Vietnam Japan University (750) and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (720).
The projected enrollment targets and tuition fees for the 12 schools under Hanoi National University for students admitted in the 2026 academic year are as follows:

According to Hanoi National University's admission regulations, member schools can use a maximum of five admission methods (excluding direct admission): based on high school graduation exam scores; based on HSA competency assessment exam results; considering international certificates such as SAT, A-Level, ACT; along with other combined or specific methods like aptitude tests, interviews combined with academic transcripts or graduation exam scores.
Candidates with foreign language certificates can convert them into a foreign language subject score for consideration with other subjects in the admission combination. Specifically, an IELTS score of 5.5 is equivalent to 8 English points. Candidates with an IELTS score of 7.5 or higher will receive 10 points.
