* 10th grade math exam solution updates
Over 151,300 students registered for the 10th grade exam. Following the math test, most candidates completed the public 10th grade entrance exam. An additional 11,300 students vying for specialized and integrated classes will take their 150-minute exams this afternoon.
Last year, before the merger, 36 out of approximately 76,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City achieved perfect scores in math. Around 63% of the exams scored above average, with 7 being the common score attained by over 4,500 students.
Admission scores for general 10th grade classes are calculated from the total of three subjects, plus any applicable priority and incentive points. For specialized classes, the formula uses the total score of the three general subjects with a coefficient of one, combined with the specialized subject score, which has a coefficient of two.
The city's general 10th grade benchmark scores ranged from 10,5 to 24,5 out of 30, with Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School achieving the highest. Among specialized classes, Le Hong Phong High School's Biology class recorded the highest entrance score at 37,5 out of 50 points, while other specialized classes required scores of approximately 27 or higher.
