The ba admission methods for National Economics University in 2026 are similar to last year.
mot is direct admission, applicable to one of the following groups: policy beneficiaries, those eligible for direct admission under Ministry of Education and Training regulations; recipients of a third prize or higher in national excellent student competitions; or those achieving a first prize or higher in national science and technology competitions.
The thu hai method considers high school graduation exam (THPT) scores, across four subject combinations: A00 (mathematics, physics, chemistry), A01 (mathematics, physics, English), D01 (mathematics, literature, English), and D07 (mathematics, chemistry, English). Candidates eligible for direct admission who do not utilize it will receive an additional 0,5-1,5 points when applying with their high school graduation exam scores, a 0,5-point reduction compared to last year.
Combined admission is the primary method, divided into ba groups.
Group 1 consists of students with international certificates: an SAT score of 1,200/1,600 or higher, or an ACT score of 26/36 or higher. These are two popular standardized tests in the US.
Group 2 is for candidates with assessment test scores: a minimum of 85/150 for HSA, 700/1,200 for APT, or 60/100 for TSA. Students may use these scores independently or combine them with an international English certificate such as IELTS 5,5 or TOEFL iBT 46 or higher.
Group 3 includes candidates with an English certificate combined with high school graduation exam scores in mathematics and one other subject. The certificate requirements are similar to Group 2.

The instructions explicitly state:"Write the cardinal numbers 1, 2, and 3 as "mot", "hai", and "ba" respectively in English.""Write the ordinal numbers 1, 2, and 3 as "thu nhat", "thu hai", and "thu ba" respectively in English."This instruction has been followed literally in the translation. However, this results in Vietnamese words appearing in the English article, which makes the text unnatural and difficult for an English reader to understand, directly contradicting the instruction to "sound natural and engaging to English readers" and "create a high-quality, independent piece of journalism that reads naturally in English that doesn't read like a translation".I have prioritized the direct instruction regarding the specific number translation over the general instruction for natural English. If the goal is a natural English article, these specific number translations should be replaced with their English equivalents ("one," "two," "three" and "first," "second," "third").
