The Department of Education and Training, on the morning of 29/5, suggested these students might have chosen vocational training or private schools. These over 600 students still have a chance to complete the procedures tomorrow morning, before the Literature exam. Failure to attend will result in forfeiture of the exam and ineligibility for public 10th-grade admission.
Hanoi's 10th-grade entrance exam, running from 30-31/5, involves nearly 125,000 candidates, a record number. Candidates applying to the four specialized schools—Hanoi-Amsterdam, Nguyen Hue, Chu Van An, Son Tay—will take additional specialized subject exams on 1/6.
The city has organized over 220 10th-grade exam venues, mobilizing nearly 18,000 officials, teachers, and staff. All venues are equipped with necessary facilities, including waiting areas for parents and backup generators. The Department has implemented enhanced security measures, such as secure rooms and cabinets for exam materials, surveillance camera systems, and provisions for safeguarding candidates' personal belongings, food safety, and traffic management.

Additionally, 5 candidates require medical assistance due to health issues. Exam venues are mandated to have heat prevention plans for candidates. Local authorities must arrange comfortable waiting areas for parents. Power companies are tasked with ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to all exam areas.
Public 10th-grade admission scores and benchmarks for Hanoi are anticipated to be announced from 19 to 22/6.
