On 29/12, Nguyen Anh, principal of Chu Van An Secondary School in Huong Khe district, announced a 15-day suspension for a male teacher. The decision followed the teacher's admission of "touching a grade 8 female student's sensitive area" during a martial arts session, which led to the student's parent striking him on the head with a brick. This measure aims to stabilize student morale and facilitate the police agency's investigation.
The incident came to light after a video surfaced on social media on 28/12. In the video, a grade 8 female student accused the teacher of inappropriate physical contact during a martial arts practice session at the school.
During an interview with the school administration, the male teacher confessed that the event transpired after he had "consumed a lot of alcohol". He stated he cycled past the school, turned off the lights in the multi-purpose room, and then saw 3 students practicing martial arts. He entered to demonstrate some movements, and it was during this process that he admitted, "my hand came into contact with her sensitive area".
Chu Van An Secondary School is located in Huong Khe commune, formerly part of Huong Khe district. School leadership confirmed that the teacher had transferred to the institution just over one year ago. In addition to teaching literature, he was also responsible for overseeing the school's martial arts club.
Following the incident, the teacher expressed remorse for his actions.
