This year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (HCMUSSH), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), plans to admit nearly 4,200 students through two methods: direct admission and comprehensive admission.
For the comprehensive admission method, the general formula is as follows:
Admission score = Max (academic performance score from each group) + Bonus points + Priority points
Academic performance scores are divided into three groups:
Group one (academic performance score one – DHL1) = 45% high school graduation exam score based on subject combination + 45% competency assessment exam score + 10% 3-year high school transcript score based on subject combination.
If a candidate does not meet the criteria for admission group one, they may apply the score calculation formula for group two or group three:
Group two (academic performance score two – DHL2) = 90% high school graduation exam score based on subject combination + 10% 3-year high school transcript score based on subject combination.
Group three (academic performance score three – DHL3) = 90% competency assessment exam score + 10% 3-year high school transcript score based on subject combination.
Before applying these formulas, component scores will be converted to a 100-point scale:
High school exam score = (high school graduation exam score based on admission combination) x 100/30
Competency assessment score = (competency assessment exam score) x 100/1200
High school transcript score = (3-year average high school transcript score based on admission combination) x 100/30
