According to HOY TV, the 75-year-old actor took his 38-year-old girlfriend, Chris Wong Ching Ha, to Guangdong province, China, after her release on 7/7. Wong had been deported from Hong Kong for legal violations. Lee is now expediting their marriage registration, hoping to bring her back to Hong Kong.

Having overcome hardships, the couple believes their future is brighter. "Perhaps the bad luck and sadness are over. Ching Ha has endured so much, and now she is relaxed and happy. I will bring her happiness," Lee said.

Wong, originally from mainland China, had been staying in Hong Kong on a tourist visa. Investigations revealed she used fake US university diplomas for priority entry. Arrested in 2/2024 and sentenced in 6/2024, Wong received a 25-month sentence for seven offenses, including using false documents and providing false information for entry and overstaying her visa. She pleaded guilty and accepted the sentence, but was granted early release.

The couple's relationship began in 2018. Upon going public, Wong faced ridicule and accusations of swindling Lee out of money and affection. In early 2024, a YouTuber named Au Duong Vy presented evidence claiming Wong befriended him and then asked to borrow 30,000 USD. Other sources alleged she lied about her education and background to gain access to wealthy individuals for financial support.

Wong admitted borrowing money from Au Duong Vy but insisted she repaid it in full, even adding a thank-you payment. She also confessed to sending him suggestive, but not nude, photos.

Speaking to HK01, Lee acknowledged the incidents occurred before their relationship. He believes everyone has a past, including himself, and trusts Wong. She promised him she would "behave from now on."

Lee admitted feeling stressed and overwhelmed by the negative publicity surrounding his relationship and the ridicule they faced. However, he feels Wong's sincerity and believes in their love.

The actor described their relationship as strong, mentioning his children from a previous marriage had thanked Wong for caring for him. He has made personal changes for her, including adjusting his language, perspective, and maintaining a youthful mindset. He also quit drinking and smoking and adopted a healthier lifestyle.
