On the afternoon of 21/8, Le Khanh, elegantly dressed in a white ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress), joined fellow actors Tu Oanh, Viet Hoa, and Thanh Son near Ba Dinh Square to prepare for the evening's combined rehearsal. They are part of the culture and sports contingent, which began training on 12/8, usually gathering at the Viet Xo Friendship Cultural Palace. On 20/8, the artists rehearsed at My Dinh Stadium for the first time.
Le Khanh expressed her joy at being in Quan Thanh ward, her "hometown." Before the combined rehearsal, she and her colleagues reminded each other to focus on performing their duties well. Despite the demanding rehearsals and unpredictable weather, Khanh has maintained good spirits and health.
According to Luong Thu Trang, participating in the parade commemorating the 80th National Day is a great honor and responsibility. In previous rehearsals, despite the intense sun, the music energized the actors and kept them enthusiastic.
The first combined rehearsal at Ba Dinh Square on the evening of 21/8 involved 16,300 military personnel in 43 standing formations, 18 marching formations, six military artillery vehicle formations, and eight special police vehicle formations. Armored tanks returned to the Ba Dinh parade route after 40 years, since National Day on 2/9/1985. Also present were military contingents from Russia, Laos, and Cambodia, following invitations from the Ministry of National Defense. The next rehearsal will take place on the evening of 24/8 before the preliminary rehearsal, the general rehearsal, and the official ceremony on 2/9.
The parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on 2/9 will be held at Ba Dinh Square, where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945. The ceremony will begin with a traditional torch procession, a fireworks display, an air force flyover, and a parade of various contingents.
After passing the grandstand, the contingents will disperse to various streets, engaging in cultural exchanges with the public at Quan Ngua Sports Palace and the August Revolution Square near the Hanoi Opera House.
