On 22/8, Xu Kai, star of Story of Yanxi Palace, became the center of attention when Xu Lesa released photos and messages between herself and the actor, according to Sina. Lesa claims they were in a relationship in 2022 when she discovered Xu Kai entering a hotel with actress Zhao Qing, leading to their breakup.

Xu Kai's management company responded that the actor and Lesa had a "brief involvement while filming together in 2021," and haven't been in contact for three years.

Producer Yu Zheng, head of Xu Kai's agency, questioned Lesa's motives in a Weibo post. He wrote, "Is she truly upset that someone is doing better than her, or is there another motive, perhaps someone orchestrating this scandal behind the scenes?" Xu Kai's new film, Zi Ye Gui, premiered on 18/8.

Yu Zheng believes Lesa slandered Zhao Qing by labeling her the "third party" in the relationship. Zhao Qing is currently an actress under Yu Zheng's management. The producer says he has hired lawyers to gather evidence and sue Xu Lesa.

Xu Lesa, who entered the entertainment industry in 2020, is less known. Her credits include Lord Critical World, My Sassy Princess, Dr. Soul, and Stand By Me.
