Many audience members arrived the night before, bringing chairs, food, and drinks to hold their places. To prevent chaos, organizers didn't allow the audience to gather in front of the Hanoi Opera House. They erected barriers along Le Thanh Tong Street for fans to form two lines.
The audience was given numbered tickets, with 20 people admitted at a time. At the ticket distribution point, organizers set up five gates with separate lanes. Everyone 14 and older with an ID card received a ticket.
Previously, on the morning of 20/8, thousands of people jostled for tickets to the "Vietnam in Me" concert. The pushing and shoving caused several people to faint.
