Yang Liping has stated that she doesn't feel fatigued despite the demanding workload. "As long as I can dance, I am joyful and content. At this stage in my life, my perspectives on aging and death have shifted from my younger years, and consequently, the emotions conveyed through my dance have also evolved," she said. |

Born in 1958, she gained international recognition for her peacock dance. QQ considers her the most accomplished artist in Chinese ethnic dance. For the past 10 years, Yang Liping has performed less, focusing on behind-the-scenes work, teaching, and mentoring the next generation of dancers.
In addition to dance, Yang Liping has also acted in films, notably as Mei Chaofeng in "The Return of the Condor Heroes" (2003). The artist has been married twice, separating from her second husband due to differing views on having children; she prioritized her career over family.
