DPR Ian (Christian Yu, born in 1990 in Sydney, Australia) is a Korean-Australian singer, rapper, producer, and art director. He led the K-pop group C-Clown from 2012 to 2015 before co-founding the independent record label Dream Perfect Regime (DPR). Under the stage name DPR Ian, his 2020 solo debut, "So Beautiful," quickly gained recognition for its blend of pop, R&B, rock, and cinematic concepts.
His 2022 album, "Moodswings in To Order," solidified his international presence, making him one of the most-streamed male K-pop solo artists on Spotify globally. Beyond singing, DPR Ian is renowned for directing and producing visuals for most of DPR's music, showcasing creativity and artistic independence.
Vingroup's 8Wonder - Moments of Wonder mega-concert takes place at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (Cau Tu Lien Street, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi) on 23/8. The lineup features international stars like DJ Snake, J Balvin, The Kid LAROI, DPR Ian, and Vietnamese artists Soobin Hoang Son, Hoa Minzy, Tlinh, and (S)trong - Trong Hieu.
According to Vingroup, the event is part of the National Day celebrations, contributing to Vietnam's growing status as a leading regional entertainment destination. A representative stated, "We aim to honor Vietnam's strength and aspirations, and to bring Vietnamese culture to the world."
The mega-concert also features a collaboration between international and Vietnamese artists in the Wonder Sound Lab project, promising unique musical performances. Wonder Sound Lab's "First-time Global Collab" model, featuring one Vietnam-international collaboration per season, marks a new step forward and inspires young artists to pursue global dreams.
8Wonder - Moments of Wonder is expected to draw approximately 50,000 attendees, both domestic and international. Fans organized several activities to welcome their idols and create a vibrant atmosphere for the music festival.
