His first visit was in June, which quickly made him a trending topic on social media. Vietnamese fans adored him and frequently interacted online, urging him to return.

Many Vietnamese fans affectionately call the rapper "chieu ong" (a reversal of "chong yeu," meaning "beloved husband"). Throughout his performance, he blended seductive moves with charming gestures, a signature style of DPR.

Before the event, DPR IAN met with lucky fans and gave an interview to the organizers. He diligently practiced "Anh yeu tat ca cac em" with "Sister Google" to perfect the pronunciation, demonstrating his affection and appreciation for his Vietnamese fans.

The 1990-born singer shared that the Vietnamese audience was incredibly welcoming, warm, and knew how to have fun. Expressing his true self on stage came naturally to him in this environment. "Honestly, I want to thank the Vietnamese audience. It was a wonderful experience for me," he shared.

During his performance, DPR IAN stepped down into the audience area and accepted a traditional conical hat from a fan.
He previously expressed his desire to perform and travel in Vietnam, and his love for Vietnamese culture. "I love pho. I might invite my whole team for a culinary date. It’s fascinating how Hanoi-style pho is so light and the broth is so clear. I especially love that. Last time, I ate four bowls. It was a lot, but I really enjoyed it," the "Don't Go Insane" singer enthusiastically shared.

At the end of the event, DPR IAN, holding the conical hat, bowed 90 degrees to the 50,000 fans and promised to see them again soon. "I love the atmosphere here," IAN said, bidding farewell to the cheering crowd as he left the stage.
DPR IAN (Christian Yu, born in 1990 in Sydney, Australia) is a Korean-Australian singer, rapper, producer, and art director. He was the leader of the K-pop group C-Clown from 2012 to 2015 before co-founding the independent record label Dream Perfect Regime (DPR). Under the stage name DPR IAN, he made his solo debut in 2020 with the song "So Beautiful."
His 2022 album, Moodswings in To Order, solidified his international fame, making him one of the most-streamed male K-pop solo artists on Spotify globally. Besides singing, DPR IAN is also known for his directing and visual production skills, contributing to most of DPR's music and establishing a reputation for creativity and artistic independence.
The 8Wonder - Moments of Wonder music festival, organized by Vingroup at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (Cau Tu Lien Street, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi) on 22/8, featured a lineup of famous international artists: DJ Snake, J Balvin, The Kid LAROI, DPR IAN and many Vietnamese singers: Soobin Hoang Son, Hoa Minzy, Tlinh, and (S)trong - Trong Hieu.
According to Vingroup, the event was part of a series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day, contributing to Vietnam's position as a leading festival and entertainment destination in the region. "We want to honor the strong Vietnamese spirit and the desire to reach further, bringing Vietnamese culture to the world," a representative of the organizing committee said.
