The "Cosmic Carpark Paintings" exhibition, featuring works by Ed Sheeran dating back to 2019, opened at the Heni gallery in London on 10/7 and runs until 1/8. During breaks from touring, Sheeran would visit an abandoned car park in Soho, London, don protective gear, and begin splattering paint. He opted for regular house paint rather than artist-grade paints, resulting in chaotic yet dynamic bursts of color.

Initially, Sheeran viewed painting as a hobby, primarily creating pieces for friends. He was later encouraged to exhibit his work by close friends, including artist Damien Hirst and entrepreneur Joe Hage, the founder of Heni. At the exhibition, Sheeran is offering both original pieces and limited edition prints for sale. 50% of the proceeds from the sale of original paintings and all proceeds from the prints will be donated to Sheeran's charity, supporting children and young people's access to music through school and community programs in the UK.
In an early July Instagram post, Sheeran described himself not as a painter but as someone who enjoys creating art, a passion he has nurtured since childhood. "It makes me feel great," Sheeran said.
The 34-year-old Sheeran entered the music scene in 2004, gaining attention for his songwriting skills. His debut single, "The A Team," released in 2011, catapulted him to global fame. He has won four Grammy Awards, two VMAs, and four Billboard Music Awards. In 2019, he was named Artist of the Decade by the Official Charts Company for his commercial success in the UK music industry. According to the Daily Mail, Sheeran secretly married Cherry Seaborn in 2019 after four years of dating. They have two daughters: five-year-old Lyra and three-year-old Jupiter.
