According to St Headline, the memorial service for the two artists took place on July 14 and the morning of 15/7, followed by a cremation ceremony. Actor Tien Gia Lac, representing the couple's children, said that in accordance with Duong Giai's wishes, the funeral was a joint service and attended only by close family and friends. The family also chose not to publicly release any photos from the ceremony.

Some sources mentioned the couple faced financial difficulties in their later years, but Tien Gia Lac stated the family had no financial issues. He last saw Duong Giai and Tuyet Ni earlier in the year, unaware of Tuyet Ni's cancer diagnosis at the time. The couple, holding hands and supporting each other as they moved, displayed a strong and loving bond. They married in 1969 and had two children. In the 1980s, the family moved to Canada but later returned to Hong Kong.
Many artists sent wreaths, including Vien Hoa Binh, Dich Long, Khuong Dai Ve, Truong Ba Chi, Ho Hanh Nhi, and Le Dieu Tuong.

Director and martial arts choreographer Duong Giai died after falling from a balcony on 23/6 at the age of 88. According to On, he was struggling with his wife's coma and had expressed to his son a desire to "rest in peace with his wife."
Actress Tuyet Ni, whose real name was Ly Sieu Thuan, passed away on 5/7 from pancreatic cancer. Born in 1947, she began her acting career in the 1960s and became a prominent martial arts star in Hong Kong cinema. Her notable films include Nu hac hiep Hoa Moc Lan, Nu hac hiep uy chan cong dia nguc, Thien kiem tuyet dao, Sat thu kiem, Nhu Lai Than Chuong, and Doc nhan hiep.
In the 1990s, she joined TVB, portraying many beloved characters, including Co Ngoc Mi in Thien dia hao tinh, Hoa Hong Den (Trinh Song Song) in Nan huynh nan de, Ly Bich Tran in Thu thach nghiet nga, Ha Tang Cuc in My vi tinh duyen, La Tue Khanh in Me chong kho tinh, and Ha Thanh Thanh in Ke danh thue. She retired from acting in 2022.
