On "Footprints of the Past", Miao Kersiu discussed her time acting alongside Bruce Lee. She vividly recalled Lee's advice to "live with conviction and a clear purpose", words that deeply influenced her.
Although 52 years have passed since Bruce Lee's death, his name remains frequently mentioned. Many people around Miao Kersiu still remember Lee and ask her about him. "Therefore, I can't escape his shadow," she said.
Born Chan Wing-ngan, the actress was given the stage name Miao Kersiu by novelist Jin Yong. She rose to fame in the 1970s and 1980s in martial arts films, earning the title "Princess of Golden Harvest".

In 1987, Miao developed feelings for Poon Chi-man, who was also married with children. The actress stated she didn't intentionally pursue married men but admitted to being impulsive and lacking the sense to resist temptation in her youth. At the time, she believed that mutual happiness was sufficient and never asked her partners to divorce.
Both of the actress's parents are deceased. Before her mother's passing, she expressed concern over Miao's single status, leaving the actress feeling unfulfilled in her filial duty. Miao reflected, "I was an only child, pampered and spoiled. I never learned to plan my life seriously. Acting, relationships, travel... everything was unplanned. So, I let things happen naturally."
