Ha Anh Tuan's US concert sells out

Tickets for Ha Anh Tuan's "Sketch A Rose" concert in Los Angeles sold out within 24 hours.

Tickets for Ha Anh Tuan's "Sketch A Rose" concert at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles went on sale at 10 a.m. on 1/8 via the Dolby Theatre and Ticketmaster systems, and all 3,400 tickets were snapped up within a day. The concert, scheduled for 18/10, featured six ticket tiers, ranging from 120 USD to 450 USD.

"We are thrilled with the enthusiastic response and feel the pressure to deliver a show that meets everyone's expectations," said Minh Hoang, a representative of the organizing committee.

Ha Anh Tuan plans to ship almost 100 cases of equipment from Vietnam for this exclusive US performance. He and his team are currently busy finalizing stage designs, arranging music, and rehearsing.

The singer has expressed his hope that the audience will wear traditional Vietnamese ao dai to the concert to celebrate Vietnamese culture. "The Dolby Theatre, the artistic heart of Hollywood, is a dream stage not just for me but for many artists. I hope to share a memorable musical experience with the audience while showcasing Vietnamese culture to international friends," said Ha Anh Tuan.

Collaborating with the singer on this project are director Cao Trung Hieu, production director Vo Do Minh Hoang, music director Nguyen Huu Vuong, conductor Tran Nhat Minh, Crystal Band, Saigon Pops Orchestra, and Cadillac vocal group.

Prior to this upcoming Los Angeles concert, Ha Anh Tuan brought "Sketch A Rose" to the Esplanade Concert Hall (Singapore) in June 2024 and the Sydney Opera House (Australia) in September 2024. He also held two shows in Vietnam in March of this year. Profits from ticket sales have been donated to the Choi Vietnam project, which supports orphans of the Covid-19 pandemic, and 500 million Vietnamese dong was given to the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, reflecting the singer's commitment to combining music with social responsibility.

The concert's name is inspired by playwright Luu Quang Vu's work "Tin o hoa hong" ("Belief in Roses"). According to the singer, this phrase inspires him on his musical journey and instills faith in the good things in life.

The 41-year-old Ha Anh Tuan was a top 3 finalist in the Sao Mai Diem Hen singing competition in 2006. His albums "Saigon Radio" (2008), "Cocktail" (2010), and "Street Rhythm" (2015) were all nominated for the prestigious Cong Hien Award. In late 2016, he launched the "See Sing Share 9" music project, comprising 10 episodes released on YouTube. This project led to a series of successful live shows in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2023, including: "Fragile", "Sweet Memories", "Romance - Nguoi dan ong & bong hoa tren nguc trai", "Truyen ngan", "Veston", "Nhung vet thuong lanh", and "Chan troi ruc ro".
