The designer collaborated with artisan Phung Thi Vui from the Quat Dong craft village, creating handcrafted wedding dresses with techniques like traditional embroidery, tambour embroidery, combined with 3D Japanese flowers and laser cutting.

Most designs focus on strapless dresses, corset bodices, and flared skirts. The remaining designs feature mermaid and trumpet silhouettes. In addition to traditional long gowns, the show also included short, see-through wedding dresses.

The wedding dresses utilize high-quality silk and voile, with balloon-styled hems adding a youthful, flowing touch.

Embroidered details are crafted on separate pieces of fabric before being sewn and shaped onto the dresses.

Hue-based philosophy professor Thai Kim Lan, one of the event's guests, expressed her admiration for Quynh Anh's creativity. "The embroidered patterns on the collar, sleeves, and hem are indeed indispensable elements in royal attire and art. Royal embroidery is one of the most noble techniques an artisan can achieve," she said.

Following the show, the designer is hosting an exhibition of wedding dresses and embroidery techniques at the Diem Phung Thi Art Center from 21/9 to 29/9.
Quynh Anh (full name Nguyen Quynh Anh), 33, is from Hanoi. She established her high-end wedding dress brand in 2016. Her designs focus on traditional handcrafting techniques.
