Ngo Van Han, Miss Hong Kong 1998 runner-up, is facing a challenging period, battling recurrent cancer while navigating a recent divorce. According to St Headline, doctors found a brain tumor and liver metastasis in early March 2024, in addition to the recurrence of her breast cancer. Her divorce from businessman Tran was finalized in 6/2025 after 14 years of marriage.

Despite a friend's offer to organize a fundraiser for her medical expenses, Ngo Van Han expressed gratitude but declined. Over the past years, she has sold her wedding gold, a Rolex watch, and other jewelry to cover treatment costs. Although she faces financial pressure from medical bills and living expenses, she feels she can manage and is not yet at a point where she needs public donations. She considers herself fortunate to have purchased insurance previously, opting for treatment at a public hospital to align costs with her insurance coverage.

Initially, upon learning her condition had worsened, Van Han felt immense fear and a sense of helplessness. Gradually, she found peace, refusing to let negative emotions overwhelm her, believing "many people worldwide face tougher circumstances than mine." Her friends have been a significant emotional support, especially after her 2025 divorce.

Early this March, a group of close friends, including some she has known since childhood, organized an "early memorial" for the actress. The gathering served as an opportunity for them to express their feelings and share things they had wanted to say or do but never had the chance. Her friends also prepared albums filled with memories from their childhood to adulthood, allowing them to reminisce together. Ngo Van Han stated the meeting was not somber; instead, it was filled with laughter. She remarked, "To be together at a memorial while I'm still alive means everyone has overcome their fear."

Van Han and businessman Tran were publicly divorced in 6/2025. They have two daughters, aged 11 and 9. At the time, some speculated that Mr. Tran was "heartless for leaving his sick wife," but she defended her ex-husband. According to Van Han, the divorce was not a sudden decision but resulted from marital issues that had developed over many years. Both had considered separating even before her cancer recurrence; her ex-husband did not "abandon" her. She felt Mr. Tran was not a suitable life partner for her but acknowledged he is a good father. They parted amicably, remaining friends.

Born in 1974, Ngo Van Han entered the entertainment industry after becoming Miss Hong Kong runner-up in 1998. She appeared in TVB dramas such as *Hy Vong*, *Kungfu Tuc Cau*, *Canh Sat Hinh Su*, and *The Kungfu Master*. Van Han also participated in dozens of films, including *Un Baiser Vole*, *Luc Trang Si*, *That Uc*, *Tan Trat Su Muoi*, and *Nhat Da Kinh Tinh*.
