The singer and her two children recently moved into the two-story penthouse in An Khanh ward (TP HCM). The apartment features a dining room, music room, kitchen, three bedrooms, and a storage room. The space and interior were designed by her partner, German architect Gerhard Heusch. Hong Nhung has dedicated a portion of the rooftop to cultivate a garden of flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees.
The singer explained that she tends the garden herself, driven by her love for nature. She uses organic fertilizer to ensure her produce is free of chemicals. Her collection of fruit trees includes vitamin-rich varieties like papaya, guava, blueberry, apple, mango, and grapefruit. Interspersed among the fruit trees are rose bushes, adding splashes of color to the living space.
The artist shared that she starts each morning with meditation, yoga, and a moment to appreciate her garden, finding it a source of relaxation and renewed energy. "Gardening is an indispensable joy in my life," she said.
Hong Nhung has completed radiation therapy following six months of treatment for breast cancer and is currently in recovery. She continues to take medication as prescribed by her doctor. She has returned to singing and is working on new music, with two upcoming releases: "Chiec no hong" and "Tu hoi."
Hong Nhung, 55, whose full name is Le Hong Nhung, began her singing career in the 1980s. She achieved success with songs by Trinh Cong Son, Duong Thu, Tran Tien, Phu Quang, Quoc Trung, and Thanh Tung. Her notable albums include "Doan khuc thu Ha Noi" (1997), "Bai hat ru cho anh" (1998), "Ngay khong mua" (2002), "Thuo Bong la nguoi" (2003), and "Khu vuon yen tinh" (2004).
In late 2017, she reconnected with audiences through the Hanoi-themed album "Pho a pho oi." In 2020, she released "Tuoi tho toi," an album of popular children's songs. Last year, she held a concert and released the vinyl record "Bong la ai," featuring Trinh Cong Son's music with a jazz twist.
