Undeterred, Lam later invited Kwok to dinner, but he didn't reply, skeptical of her forwardness. Kwok expressed his concerns to their mutual friend, prompting Lam to retort, "Tell him what's he afraid of? Just come and meet me." From then on, they began dating regularly, and Lam realized Kwok was "the one." In 2016, after two years of dating, Kwok proposed, and they married the same year. Their twin daughters are now 7.
Lam believes women should take the initiative when they find someone they like and not give up easily.
